Tower Hamlets match preview

Bees search for three more points in Aveley

“"There are no easy games in the run in with so much at stake"” Marc Harrison

Basildon United will be back in action on Friday night (13 April) as they take on Tower Hamlets in the Essex Senior League.

This is a fixture that has moved venue twice since its original postponement due to Basildon’s involvement in the Errington Challenge Cup. With Tower Hamlet’s usual home ground of Mile End Stadium now having reverted to athletics use for the summer, the game was originally moved to Redbridge’s Oakside ground, before the second switch to Aveley’s Parkside stadium and a game on the 4G pitch that should ensure it goes ahead.

Tower Hamlets have slipped back into mid-table in recent weeks, but a strong showing during the majority of the season has shown that they will be no pushovers. Manager, Marc Harrison, noted, “There are no easy games in the run in with so much at stake on each fixture. The games are now coming thick and fast and it is important that Liam (Wallace) and I prepare the players properly to give them the best chance to shine on the pitch.”

Kick off at Parkside is 7.45 pm.
